Mountain Rendezvous Chapter, NSDAR
Evergreen, Colorado

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to preserving American history, securing America’s future through better education, and promoting patriotism.

Gilpin County Veteran Grave Identification

Chapter members are currently working on a project to identify veterans’ graves in Gilpin County cemeteries. Members are coordinating an effort with the City of Blackhawk and the Stanley Nelson VFW Post to place a bronze memorial plaque at Dory Hill Cemetery.

Every member of the DAR can trace her family tree to a patriot of the American Revolution. With this heritage, Mountain Rendezvous members actively encourage and welcome new citizens by participating every month in naturalization ceremonies.

Conservation - Fish Walk

Chapter members meet once a month to walk around Evergreen Lake and clean the fish line tubes in order to keep the area surrounding the lake pristine and safe. Used fish line is a known hazard to the water fowl in the area.

Genealogy Workshop

Trained genealogy experts within the chapter, offer free workshops several times a year to members of the mountain communities that we serve.
